On behalf of our client – a leading producer of natural cosmetics we are looking for an experienced senior Senior Formulation Chemist who will be responsible for formulating, testing and compliance of a new cosmetics in a new manufacturing plant in Poland.

Senior Formulation Chemist-  Cosmetics Manufacturing Plant( m/f)

• Formulation: Develop and refine 100% natural formulations across full product range — balms (including beeswax balms), shampoo, sunscreen, deodorant, make-up, perfume, and more — including ingredient selection, texture, and stability
• Testing & stability: Run stability, compatibility, and micro/preservation testing; troubleshoot formulation issues (e.g. graininess, separation, discoloration, instability) that are common when working with natural, preservative-free or naturally-preserved systems
• Scale-up: Translate lab-scale formulas into batch records and processes that work on the facility's production and filling lines, accounting for melting, mixing, and pouring/filling equipment
• Compliance: Ensure formulations meet GMP / ISO 22716 requirements and any relevant regulatory documentation (INCI listings, safety assessments, PIF support), while maintaining full natural-ingredient compliance
• Raw materials: Source and evaluate 100% natural raw materials (beeswax, plant oils, butters, natural actives, mineral pigments, natural fragrance materials, etc.) and work with suppliers on specifications and quality
• Documentation: Maintain formulation records, technical documentation, and version history for all developed products

• Degree or equivalent formal background in chemistry, or a related field
• Significant, hands-on experience formulating 100% natural cosmetic products across multiple categories — such as balms (including beeswax balms), haircare, sun care, deodorant, color cosmetics, or perfume
• Deep understanding of natural/green cosmetic chemistry, including natural preservation systems, stability testing, and formulating without synthetic ingredients
• Familiarity with GMP / ISO 22716 standards and cosmetic regulatory requirements (EU Cosmetics Regulation, INCI, PIF)
• Experience taking formulas from bench/lab scale to production scale, ideally with exposure to filling and packing lines
• Strong communication skills to work across R&D, QC, operations, and brand teams
• Good command of English language
