On behalf of our client – a leading producer of natural cosmetics we are looking for an experienced senior executive who will be responsible for the end-to-end launch of a new cosmetics manufacturing plant in Poland and will subsequently assume the role of CEO, overseeing the facility’s ongoing operations.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the project roadmap, implementation schedule and budget
  • Design the target operating model and organisational structure of the facility
  • Define the technical specifications for production machinery and manufacturing lines
  • Participate in the selection of suppliers and oversee the procurement, installation, acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment
  • Coordinate the development of the plant’s technical infrastructure, including electrical systems, HVAC, cleanrooms, water treatment and reverse osmosis systems, wastewater management and other utilities
  • Ensure that the facility and manufacturing processes comply with GMP, ISO 22716 and applicable Polish legal, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate the process of obtaining all necessary permits, inspections, approvals and sanitary and environmental authorisations
  • Develop and implement production, quality, logistics and warehousing processes
  • Define workforce requirements, shift patterns and the organisational structure of the production team
  • Recruit and build the plant’s management, specialist and production teams – in cooperation with recruitment company
  • Implement automation, operational efficiency standards and performance KPIs
  • Ensure that production is launched according to the agreed timetable and that the target production capacity is achieved
  • Following the launch of the plant, assume full responsibility for its operational, financial and organisational management
  • Report regularly to the company’s owners and cooperate closely with the international headquarters

Employer requirements

  • Proven experience in managing a manufacturing facility or launching a new production plant.
  • Hands-on experience in the cosmetics industry, preferably in cosmetics manufacturing.
  • Experience in leading a greenfield factory project, production plant start-up or significant facility expansion.
  • Strong knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing technologies, machinery and production lines.
  • Experience in defining technical specifications and managing the selection, procurement, installation and commissioning of production equipment.
  • Practical knowledge of GMP and ISO 22716 standards.
  • Good understanding of Polish regulatory requirements related to establishing and operating a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with technical infrastructure for production plants, including HVAC, cleanrooms, electrical systems, water treatment, reverse osmosis and wastewater management.
  • Experience in building and managing manufacturing teams operating in a multi-shift environment.
  • Experience in implementing automation and solutions designed to improve production efficiency.
  • Strong leadership, project management, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and lead a complex project in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in Polish and English.
  • Willingness to work in or relocate to the Tri-City area.
